Anatomy For Surgeons Please click here to view the class list >> This elective is offered to fourth year medical students interested in surgery. The Departments of Cell Biology and Surgery will jointly teach this course, which will cover the following regions: anterior neck, mediastinum, abdominal wall, abdominal cavity and one region of the limbs. The gross anatomy of each region will be reviewed by means of a brief lecture followed by cadaver dissection. After the anatomical dissection has been completed, a surgeon will discuss the key surgical issues and then guide the students as they perform surgical procedures on an undissected cadaver.
