Each student will be assigned to one of the two offered sites: North Shore University Hospital and Bellevue and Tisch Hospitals. Site requests are accepted and honored on a first come, first serve basis.
Students assigned to Bellevue and Tisch Hospitals spend two weeks in obstetrics, two weeks in gynecology, one week outpatient clinics, and one week of electives. Elective choices include Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Choice, Midwifery, Reproductive Endocrinology Infertility/IVF, or additional week of Clinic.
Students assigned to North Shore University Hospital spend one week each on obstetrics, oncology, gynecology, outpatient clinics, and urogynecology. The sixth week repeats one of the five services. Dr. Gerald Scholl is the site director.
All students will meet in small-group sessions for case conferences/presentations. There will be weekend and overnight call at both sites. |
