North Shore:  Directions / Bus Schedule

On the first day of the rotation, students assigned to North Shore Hospital will be picked up at 11:45a.m. at First Avenue & E. 32nd Street by the East Coast Limousine Service.
Upon arrival the first day, please go directly to the Dean's Office, First Floor Levitt Building Entrance (next to Admitting) where you will meet with Joanne Balnis (Dean's Office) for orientation - #516-562-4046.

Beginning on the 2nd day of the rotation, students will be picked up by the North Shore Hospital shuttle bus at 6:30a.m. at E. 30th Street & First Avenue in front of the Skirball Building.

The shuttle bus makes one trip daily, except weekends, to NSUH, departing from the entrance to the Skirball Institute on First Avenue at 6:30 AM, and returning at 5:45 PM from the Boas-Marks Biomedical Research Building (Entrance #3). Students who drive a car to North Shore should enter by Entrance #3 and park at the top of the hill in the open lots to the left and to the right.

On weekends, students needing transportation to North Shore should take a cab to the LIRR train station and then take the train to Manhasset where NSUH security can be contacted at 516-562-8444 for a pick up and transport to the Hospital. For a return trip on weekends, students should go to the 1 Monti Security Desk and request transportation to the Manhasset train station for a return trip to Manhattan. Students can obtain reimbursement for both train and cab fares by submitting receipts to the Dean’s Office.
