- patients with psychiatric disorders and substance abuse problems

Bellevue Forensic Psychiatry Service (19 W)
- male patients between the ages of 16 and older in the New York City correctional facility.

Bellevue Adolescent Psychiatry (21 West)
- teenage patients between the ages of 13-17 with a wide range of adolescent psychopathology.

- includes several inpatient units located at Bellevue Hospital

- Bellevue, general adult, with special emphasis on Spanish language-speaking patients.
- A knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
Lenox Hill Hospital (Inpatient and Outpatient)

Bellevue Medical Psych Unit (12 S)
- patients have medical problems as well as psychiatric diagnoses. Students work with both the psychiatrist and the internist on the unit.

Psychoanalytic Assessment
- students get the opportunity to learn about psychoanalysis as a clinical field of practice, a point of view, and understanding of the relationship of psychoanalysis to general psychiatry and to medicine.
Bellevue Psychiatric Evaluation Service
- students conduct evaluations on adult outpatients under attending supervision
Pediatric Psychiatry Seminars (please note: this is not an outpatient clinic)
- students conduct pediatric evaluations and emphasize short term treatment interventions with patients and their families.
CPEP – Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Room
- additional work in the psych emergency room seeing acute patients and working in extended observations
Premier Healthcare (located in Brooklyn Heights):
- offers outpatient treatment to children and adults with developmental disabilities including mental retardation, Asperger's disorder and autism. Psychiatric staff works closely with on-site medical staff.
VA PTSD Clinic
- Outpatient clinic at the VA hospital for veterans suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder.
