You are starting a Pre-exam Quiz (and a subsequent optional review) that is required as a preliminary to the examination in this topic. We expect that if you achieve a score of 80% or better here you will be adequately prepared to take the closed-book exam, which will focus on problem-solving rather than the rote reproduction of anatomical facts (which this quiz covers).

Please note that while taking the quiz is a requirement and that the faculty will be aware of how well you do, the results you receive will not be used as part of the evaluation of your performance in the course.

The quiz consists of 30 questions.

This is an open-book quiz ... So you may use text books, handouts or your own class notes and sketches to help answer the questions. BUT!!   You are not permitted ... To "preview" the questions before you take the quiz yourself, To seek or accept help from others while you take it, or To use Google or another search engine to find answers on-line, or To discuss the specifics of the test with others, or To make any kinds of copies of the questions for any purpose.

SERIOUS WARNINGS CONCERNING THE QUIZ You can only take the quiz in "Quiz-Mode" only ONCE. If you are not ready to proceed, delete this window and come back later. Once you start the quiz you must continue to the end: you cannot break in the middle. The quiz should typically take you no more than an hour. The quiz terminates after 2 hours. You will be warned as time runs out. If you are forced to restart (due to a browser problem, for example) please do so at once since the "clock" does not stop on a restart. Finally, DO NOT GO BACK TO CHANGE PREVIOUS ANSWERS! If the answer was correct you will lose credit for that question. Reviewing the quiz material After taking the quiz you may log into this practice tool twice more, when you can review how you did. 2nd Login - Review Mode: You will receive the same set of questions as in Quiz Mode, but this time you will be provided with the correct answer to each question and an explanation for each. 3rd Login - Final Review Mode: Similar to Review Mode, this question set includes only those questions that you have never answered correctly during previous logins. Additional instructions will be provided in the pages that follow.
