What organ is this? What regions of the organ are shown?
- This is the cortex of the adrenal gland. On the far right is the capsule
of the gland. Next to it is the zona glomerulosa. Note the rounded
clusters of cells. The cells are columnar, intermediate in size when compared
to the other layers.
- In the upper left corner, the start of the zona fasciculata
can be seen. The cells are larger and are arranged in columns.
