Pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium, 75x
- As labelled, the cells are goblet cells, the surface specialization
is cilia, and the epithelium is pseudostratified columnar epithelium.
The basal cells are indicators that this is pseudostratified columnar
epithelium. Another indicator is the presence of a surface specialization,
only found on simple or pseudostratified epithelium.
- This type of epithelium is found throughout the respiratory system
and in parts of the male reproductive tract.
